The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Operative with a desired skill set in the maritime industry.

You will play a key role in maintaining our infrastructure, equipment and facilities, while playing an important role in future projects within the harbour.

Location: Brightlingsea Harbour

Salary: £26,000 increasing development and certifications

Contract Type: Full time

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm. Some weekend work/ unsocial hours may be required.

Responsibilities Include:

• Carry out routine inspections and repairs on harbour facilities.
• Maintain navigational aids and moorings
• Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, plumbing issues and more.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Keep accurate records of work completed and manage inventory of tools and materials.
• Ensure all tolls and equipment are kept tidy and serviced after every use
• To support harbour operations when necessary.
• Work as part of a team to support daily operations and uphold safety standards.
