Job Title: Marina and Yard Manager

Position Overview

The Royal Motor Yacht Club is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Haven and Yard team as the Marina and Yard Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all marina operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, safety, and member satisfaction. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage the day-to-day activities of the marina while also implementing long-term strategic plans for its development and success.

Key Responsibilities

·        Marina Operations: Oversee all aspects of marina operations, including maintenance, safety protocols, and member services.

·        Staff Management: Lead and manage a team of marina staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of service.

·        Customer Service: Maintain exceptional levels of customer service, addressing member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

·        Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.

·        Facility Maintenance: Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities to keep marina facilities in excellent condition.

·        Budget Management: Develop and manage the marina budget, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation.

·        Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term plans for marina growth and improvement, aligning with the RMYC's vision and goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Able to demonstrate hands on experience working in or overseeing a Marina operation with supervisory experience.
• Customer Focus: Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; with the ability to address immediate needs and quickly find resolutions to issues.

·        Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with marina operations, boating safety, and relevant regulations.

·        Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
