💼 Key Responsibilities:

Mainetnance & Infrastructure

  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of marina infrastructure, including pontoons, walkways, and utilities.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, pressure washing, carpentry, and minor electrical or plumbing repairs.
  • Ensure all marina equipment, such as gangways, cleats, and bollards are in good working condition.
  • Assist in environmental and waste management compliance, keeping the marina clean, safe, and well-presented.
  • Support winterisation and seasonal maintenance programs to ensure longevity of marina assets.

Berthing & Marina Operations

  • Assist with berth allocation and berth management for visiting and resident vessels.
  • Assist with mooring and unmooring boats, ensuring safe handling at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of berth occupancy and vessel movements.
  • Support safe and compliant use of the boat hoist and other marina plant and equipment (training provided if required).
  • Ensure marina security measures are upheld to protect customer property and assets.

·        Oversee the safe operation of the marina fuelling/bunkering station and handle fuel deliveries.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Provide a friendly and professional point of contact for marina users.
  • Assist berth holders with general enquiries, ensuring an approachable and helpful attitude.
  • Support the marina team with delivering customer events and local community engagement initiatives.

Administration & Compliance

  • Accurately log maintenance and inspection activities, vessel movements, bookings, and take payments using company IT Systems.
  • Maintain daily timesheets and work logs with attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.

🌊 What We’re Looking For:

  • Maintenance or trade skills with experience in basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general repairs.
  • Health, Safety and Environmental awareness with the ability to follow company policies and safe working procedures.
  • A friendly and professional team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Competent people skills and the ability to be polite, engaged, and professional under all circumstances.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors year-round, including in poor weather conditions.
  • Ability to swim and work safely around water.
  • Knowledge of marina or general maritime operations is desirable.
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2 or above or a willingness to obtain in post.
  • Experience handling and towing boats would be an advantage but can be trained if needed.
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate boat hoists, plant and marina equipment safely.
  • A full UK driving licence.
