The sMRT SARfinder has a digital screen that will detect, display and track the location of multiple 121.5 MHz signals to aid man overboard recovery. An audible alarm is emitted as soon as the beacon is activated and a direction and distance are displayed to help locate the man-overboard. The touchscreen display allows users to easily interact with the unit, with the MOB locations clearly identifiable with drift direction data.
The sMRT Digital SARfinder can track a large number of 121.5 MHz units, in case of a mass incident, within a five-mile range.
As the sMRT AU and V300 range of AIS, DSC, 121.5 MHz units work in conjunction with the sMRT SARfinder, Wescom now provides a complete man overboard alert and tracking solution for localised rescue.
