Taking place on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, at its new location, the prestigious Union Jack Club in London, this one-day event is designed to provide industry professionals with essential insights into emerging trends, regulatory updates, and groundbreaking technologies transforming the superyacht sector.

The seminar will feature a powerful lineup of expert speakers, thought leaders, and cutting-edge discussions. Topics covered will include the latest developments in sustainability, the growing role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, new regulations impacting the industry, and the future of alternative fuels. While the panel discussion will delve into the most pressing issues, offering attendees an exclusive opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge and stay ahead of the curve.

A highlight of the seminar will be an exploration of the current hot topic of nuclear fuel and its potential to help the Superyacht industry meet its net zero targets. With the promise of zero emissions at the point of use and a new, more advanced generation of reactor technologies, nuclear energy is gathering more attention as a zero-carbon power source to meet operational and regulatory requirements across a range of maritime applications. Lloyds Register’s Jez Sims explores the application of nuclear technology in Superyachts.

Another critical session will address MARPOL VI Regulations, where Rachel Goult, MD of Yacht Carbon Offset, and Nigel Marrison, Founder of Blue ESG, will share valuable insights on carbon offsetting and environmental responsibility. Plus, attendees will hear from Alasdair Reay, CEO of HPi Verification, on the latest advancements in hydrogen fuel cell technology and its role in the America’s Cup chase boat.

Attendees will also hear from Tobias Kohl from MTU who will be exploring methanol as a “drop-in” biofuel, while for those interested in yacht coatings, a dedicated panel discussion will highlight key strategies for avoiding costly mistakes in superyacht paint application.

In addition to the seminar’s packed agenda, there will be plenty of opportunities to network and engage with industry peers. A networking lunch will provide a chance to connect with key players in the superyacht community, while the drinks reception, sponsored by Laurent Giles, will offer a relaxed atmosphere to continue discussions and forge new relationships.

“An excellent seminar! A great line-up of speakers who delivered engaging, insightful information with many takeaways. Thank you for a productive, well-organised, and enjoyable day.”

Glen Wallis, GJW Direct

“Our usual experience with networking events is clinical and lifeless. The Superyacht UK seminar was different. Intimate and friendly, we felt like part of the gang from the moment we entered the room. We’ve already made valuable connections and opened doors on some great business opportunities. It was incredibly valuable, and we will absolutely be attending the next one.”
