Taking place on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, at The Union Jack Club in London, the 14th annual Superyacht UK Technical Seminar is a must-attend event for professionals across the superyacht sector. With an agenda covering the latest regulatory updates, technological advancements, and sustainability efforts, the seminar offers unparalleled insights into the industry’s future.
Following last year’s discussions on the barriers to achieving sustainability goals, Hoekstra will explore how Foundation Zero is breaking down those barriers through open-source collaboration and real-world solutions. In an industry where NDAs often prevent sustainability successes from being shared, Foundation Zero is pioneering a new way forward, developing and deploying practical, scalable clean energy solutions that can benefit not just the superyacht sector, but other industries and communities worldwide.
As part of his keynote, Hoekstra will highlight recent breakthroughs, including the Foundation0 Power Hub, which successfully provided renewable energy to the BCN Sail Team during the America’s Cup.
The Power Hub serves three core purposes:
- Delivering clean, renewable energy
- Acting as a testing and validation platform for new sustainable technologies
- Demonstrating the potential of sustainable solutions to the wider public
His session will challenge traditional industry thinking and explore how the superyacht sector can accelerate its sustainability ambitions while unlocking opportunities for cross-industry collaboration.

The Superyacht UK Technical Seminar 2025 will take place on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, at The Union Jack Club in London. Running from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, the full-day event will feature a packed agenda of expert discussions, industry updates, and invaluable networking opportunities, including a networking lunch and drinks reception (4.30PM to 6.00PM), kindly sponsored by Laurent Giles.
Tickets for the seminar are priced at £160 + VAT for Superyacht UK members and £290 + VAT for non-members, with registration including breakfast, a finger buffet lunch, and all seminar materials.
