The 11th session of the Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction (SDC) was held from 13-17 January 2025. British Marine members were represented through ICOMIA (The International Council of Marine Industry Associations).

The main items of interest from this meeting were as follows:

• Progress on the work on FRP in ships’ structures. ICOMIA is able to participate in the correspondence group should any members have a specific interest in this topic or require detailed information.

• Progress on the experience building phase (EBP) of the implementation of the guidelines on underwater noise.

• Development of the Safe Return to Port guidelines for passenger ships.
