Call for Experts: Revision of LPG Standards for Vehicles and Boats

CEN/TC 181 Working Group 2 (WG 2) is seeking industry experts to contribute to the revision of two key standards concerning liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) appliances used in vehicles and boats. The revision process aims to ensure these standards remain up-to-date and aligned with industry needs and technological advancements.

The two standards under revision are:

  • PWI prEN 624: "Specification for dedicated LPG appliances - Room sealed LPG space heating equipment for installation in vehicles and boats"
  • PWI prEN 15003: "Room sealed storage water heaters for the production of sanitary hot water using LPG for vehicles and boats"

With only a limited number of experts currently committed to the revision process, WG 2 is actively seeking additional participation from industry professionals with relevant expertise. National standardization bodies are encouraged to reach out to qualified individuals within their respective industries to support this effort.

Individuals interested in contributing to the revision process are invited to nominate themselves by contacting the British Standards Institution’s Committee Service Centre (CSC) via email at csc@bsigroup.com. To ensure the nomination is processed correctly, applicants should include the reference 6567 in the subject field.

This initiative presents a valuable opportunity for professionals in the field to help shape the future of LPG appliance standards, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with evolving industry requirements.

For more information or to participate, please reach out as soon as possible.
