Cockwells’ latest model – the Hardy 45 European – will be making her world debut at the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show, which takes place within Southampton’s Ocean Village Marina between 9 and 11 May 2025.
This ocean-going motor yacht, which is also capable of cruising inland waterways, effortlessly combines the robust design of the Hardy range with all the contemporary characteristics and technological innovations of a 21st century craft.
With her expansive aft deck helm, luxurious saloon and galley, full beam owner’s stateroom aft, complete with a king size bed and full-standing headroom, and comfortable double forward guest cabin, this vessel is ergonomically designed to provide plenty of room for all aboard.
Using the same semi-displacement hull of the iconic Hardy 42, designed by renowned naval architect, Andrew Wolstenholme, the Hardy 45 European is built to deliver exceptional performance and luxury living, whether on ocean passages or in gentler waters.
On the one hand, the Hardy 45 European is an ideal inland cruiser, featuring a low-profile design and a folding radar arch to pass under bridges with ease, as well as an optional bow and stern thruster to provide ultimate manoeuvrability in tight spaces.
Yet, when venturing beyond the coast to cruise in open waters, the Hardy 45 European seamlessly transitions between marine environments and comes into her own.

Powered by twin Yanmar 440hp shaft drive engines as standard, the Hardy 45 European reaches speeds of up to 28 knots. However, this vessel is equally capable of travelling at displacement speed, offering excellent fuel efficiency for long-range cruising.
The exterior aft deck helm position of the Hardy 45 European is located at the boat’s precise centre of gravity, to ensure the smoothest of rides even in challenging conditions. This helm position also offers unrivalled visibility in all directions, ideal for navigation as well as entertaining with a view.
Directly down from the helm, the stylish saloon and living quarters are fully equipped for both long adventures and short days out.
