Superyacht UK is delighted to report another successful showing for the Superyacht UK (SYUK) Pavilion at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) which took place from 25-28 September 2024.
Celebrating its 33rd anniversary, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) remains the pinnacle event for the superyacht sector, drawing global attention as the premier showcase for the year’s finest yachts. As an unmatched platform for business and networking in the industry, MYS provided Superyacht UK and its members a prime opportunity to highlight British excellence and innovation on an international stage.
Expanding its footprint from last year’s 18 sqm to 25.5 sqm, the SYUK Pavilion secured a prime open-corner location within the air-conditioned Darse Sud tent. This year, 12 companies shared the British Marine-organised stand, including Close Brothers, Custom Marine Developments (CMD), Moore Dixon, Holman Fenwick Willan LLP (HFW), Mayfair Marine, MFB Solicitors, Dohle Yachts, Viking Maritime, Phoenix Yacht Management, John Percival Marine Associates (JPMA), Optima, and Safinah. With enhanced visibility amidst 560 exhibitors from the superyacht industry, SYUK members maximised opportunities to spotlight their services, expertise, and innovations while engaging in high-level networking.
Michael Beattie, SYUK Manager, reflected on the event’s success: "The Monaco Yacht Show continues to be a critical event for the UK superyacht sector. We're thrilled to see our pavilion grow both in scale and influence, offering our members greater exposure and business opportunities. The global recognition of the UK’s superyacht industry for quality and craftsmanship was evident throughout the event, with significant connections being made."
A key highlight of the show was the annual SYUK Networking Reception, held on Thursday, 26 September, and generously sponsored by MFB Solicitors. The reception was a vibrant gathering point for exhibitors, industry leaders, and special guests, facilitating valuable relationship-building and discussions on market trends in a relaxed atmosphere.
Additionally, on Friday, 27 September, the Safinah Group hosted a well-attended brunch at the pavilion to celebrate their 25th anniversary, which provided another excellent occasion for international networking.
The SYUK Pavilion further served as a dedicated hub for private meetings, supporting exhibitors in cultivating meaningful business relationships and enhancing the UK’s profile within the superyacht sector.
Ken Hickling, Co-Vice Chair, SYUK commented: “It was great to see such a strong presence from SYUK members at MYS. The expanded stand and series of events were all well supported, and it was great to be a part of.”
Michael concluded: “The Monaco Yacht Show is a critical event for the global superyacht industry, and we are proud to support our members in making the most of it. Our expanded presence at the show highlights the ongoing strength of the UK’s superyacht sector, and we are excited to continue offering prime opportunities for our members to shine on the international stage.”
Superyacht UK continues to be a leader in the global superyacht industry, promoting the very best of British expertise and craftsmanship. The success of the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show is yet another testament to the strength and innovation of UK companies in this dynamic sector.
