High Anticipation for the USA Debut of Sunseeker Predator 55 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
31 October 2024

After enchanting the French Riviera at the Cannes Yachting Festival and then at the Genoa Boat Show, plus successful sea trials in Poole, the Sunseeker Predator 55 is ready to shine in Florida at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The new 55-foot model just added to the Predator range will take centre stage at the show, opening on October 30th. Alongside this, Sunseeker and its USA dealer, OneWater Yacht Group, will showcase an exceptional display of yachts, including the Superhawk 55, Manhattan 68, 76 Yacht, 88 Yacht, 95 Yacht and the Ocean 182.

The Predator 55 joins the iconic Predator range as a slick, stand-out yacht equipped with a retractable glass and carbon fibre sunroof. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS-950 engines, it can reach speeds of up to 36 knots. This spectacular new model, which has already received significant praise since her European debut, stands alongside the shipyard’s established ranges - Performance, Ocean, Sport Yacht, Manhattan, Yacht and Superyacht, setting a new standard in performance, functionality, and design.

“A model that embodies all the strength of the Sunseeker DNA and British sailing experience: with the launch of the Predator 55, Sunseeker sets a new standard in the US market, working alongside an exceptional network of distributors, capable of always delivering seamless customer service. With the new Predator 55 showcasing Sunseeker’s diverse product portfolio and expertise, we will be presenting the very best innovations that only a shipyard like Sunseeker is able to offer on the market,” commented Sean Robertson, President of Sunseeker USA.

“We are thrilled to bring this brand-new yacht to the US market for the very first time. This yacht represents the very best in luxury and technical excellence, and I have no doubt it will captivate our discerning customers. Our team is eager to showcase its unparalleled design and performance, and we're confident that this launch will make a significant impact in the industry,” added Bryan Braley, OneWater Yacht Group President.

Predator 55 at its USA Debut (E-dock)

Predator 55 adds a new chapter in the long story of the Predator range, demonstrating Sunseeker’s commitment to progressive innovation since 1994. The arrival of this new model, marking 30 years of design evolution, is proof of the intrinsic capacity of the brand to create and evolve products following the principle of form and function, combined with refinement and excitement, two important aspects that clearly converge in this 55-foot yacht.

The Predator 55 yacht stands out due to its distinctive new curved silhouette and sloping hardtop design, distinguishing it from other 55-foot yachts.

Powered by Volvo Penta IPS 950 turbo and supercharged engines, owners can build a specification that trumps anything you might expect from a hypercar. With 1450 horsepower behind the wheel, owners can reach speeds of up to 36 knots with ease. The engines delivering this power can be accompanied by Volvo Penta’s Dynamic Positioning System, Joystick Docking and Glass Cockpit which together provide incredibly smooth handling.

Notable features include retractable glazing and a carbon fibre sunroof that exposes the sky above. The yacht boasts an integrated tender garage for a Williams TurboJet 325, a hydraulic bathing platform, and an aft sunpad. With newly styled exterior seating, the Predator 55 offers an expansive aft cockpit. The aft retractable doors seamlessly connect the interior and exterior seating groups, creating a harmonious indoor-outdoor layout. There is an upholstered sofa, L-shaped seating, and a formal dining area with an expandable table for enhanced comfort. The foredeck features comfortable seating, a sunpad with integrated storage, and a carbon fibre sail canopy for sun protection. A gyro option reduces rolling at anchor, ensuring maximum comfort. The customisable interior layout allows for flexibility, such as relocating the main deck galley to the lower deck to accommodate additional seating and a rise-and-fall TV. The lower deck space can also be transformed into a twin cabin with an en suite, accommodating up to six guests. The Predator 55 introduces a brand-new interior fabric and finishes collection, developed in collaboration with Design Unlimited, offering a versatile colour scheme and materials palette tailored to each owner's preferences.
