SAB Software Ltd (trading as Boatchecks) is pleased to announce that it has agreed a partnership with Williams Shipping to provide a digital vessel safety management system using the Boatchecks App.

Shaun Mansbridge, Compliance Manager Williams Shipping Marine Ltd said: “After a thorough trial period of Boatchecks, we are delighted to subscribe to the service. We are extremely happy with the product and know that it will make a big difference in the way we manage our fleet. The software is easy to navigate and the vessel Masters have been able to adopt it without issue. The ability to communicate seamlessly between the office and the vessels, across all technical and documentation levels, is already making a huge difference. We look forward to utilising all the features within Boatchecks, including a SMS system, in the coming months”.

The App is downloadable from the Google and Apple stores and has been designed to run on any mobile device such as tablets and mobile phones. It has specifically been designed for the under 24 metre sector in mind ensuring ease of use onboard.

The App enables the vessel crew to :

• Document routine maintenance both scheduled by time and engine hours, raise, and close out defects.

• Report and classify faults as they arise with the ability to raise and close out defects.

• Report bunkering operations.

• View both crew and vessel certification and onboard documentation. 

• Drills and the training of crew members can be logged. 

• Crew members can input voyage data to record passenger and crew numbers onboard for each journey they undertake.

• Crew members sign on each day allowing the administrator to ensure that pre-start checks are being undertaken. Crew members acknowledge who is working on the vessel and also that they are aware of any live defects to the vessel.
