Optima Yachts is proud to announce that its groundbreaking and ultra efficient electric yacht project has been honoured with the Environmental Achievement of the Year - Industry Contribution Award at the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe.
The awards are renowned for highlighting significant innovations and contributions within the sector, with this year’s ceremony taking place on 18 June in the exhibition hall of the Amsterdam RAI. With awards decided by a panel of more than 20 leading journalists, consultants and technology experts, they recognise the latest advances and developments in the marine industry.
Optima stood out among a competitive field of nominees and was shortlisted for its remarkable environmental contribution. Going on to win the award is a further indication of their dedicated commitment to advancing green marine technology and setting new standards for sustainable boating in the yachting industry.
“We are absolutely delighted and deeply honoured to receive the Environmental Achievement of the Year - Industry Contribution Award for Optima Yachts,” said founder and CEO David Kendall. “Being recognised by such a respected panel of experts emphasises the hard work and dedication our team has put into developing a range of innovative and eco-friendly luxury boats that stand out within the marine industry. This accolade not only acknowledges our achievements but also motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in sustainable boating.”
As pioneers in eco-friendly yachting, their current Optima e10 model is distinguished by its unique efficiency and comfort, providing stability, an impressive range of 150 nautical miles to alleviate 'range anxiety', and exceptional luxury. With the upcoming 13m version and water taxi planned for production in 2025, featuring expanded social spaces and versatile configurations with the same great range, Optima Yachts is excited to continue leading the way towards greener, more enjoyable cruising experiences.
