Does Artificial Intelligence have a role in the future of marine manufacturing? UK funding for supply chain innovation projects for SMEs
7 August 2024

With AI making inroads internationally, be it the increases in content creation or human-like interaction, questions are being asked as to how it can support the marine industry through increasing productivity or problem solving.

AI Grant Funding: Supply Chain Demonstrator

Innovate UK's Bridge AI programme will invest up to £2 million in innovation projects. These projects will be to accelerate the development and adoption of artificial intelligence solutions across supply chains of the UK economy. The projects are intended to benefit efficiency in supply chains and improve business decisions at firm level.

The aim of this competition is to develop a product or process that enables data from micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large organisations to be shared in a trustless environment. The product or process must enable the development of new artificial intelligence solutions for the benefit of supply chain efficiency and firm level productivity. The output of these projects must be in the form of a demonstrator
