In recent times we have delivered successful campaigns across several key areas of the industry, including:
· The implementation of the Recreational Craft Regulations (RCR) post Brexit and the alignment with EU directives for simplified certification in multiple markets.
· The creation of the IPV code for recreational craft in temporary commercial use.
· The grandfathering changes to Class V passenger vessels.
· Supporting hire operators' implementation of the Hire Boat Code.
When one campaign ends, another one begins. We are continuously working alongside government bodies and other marine-focused stakeholders to work on issues that directly affect our members, current work includes:
· The revision of the REG code for the Superyacht Sector.
· The new Workboat Code version 3 and Commercial Pleasure Craft code.
· Creating the foundation for the decarbonisation challenge, through the development of international standards in hydrogen fuel systems, high voltage charging and onboard lithium Ion battery installations.
