The 2024 Superyacht UK (SYUK) Young Designer Competition has once again delivered a thrilling showcase of talent, creativity, and future innovation.
Hosted at the Southampton International Boat Show (16-18 September), this year’s competition, brought together the next generation of yacht designers to compete for top honours in two categories: the Master’s and 2nd / 3rd year divisions.
In collaboration with Sunseeker, Princess, Lami Sports & Events, Thorne Yacht Design, Olesinski, Cockwells, and Oyster, the event concluded on Wednesday, September 18, after two days of intensive effort. The finale featured a dazzling showcase of design ingenuity as the winners were announced on the Foredeck Stage, celebrating those who are set to shape the future of yacht design.
Each of the designers was tasked with designing a 50-meter motor yacht, suitable for family use, that included a scientific and sustainability angle.
