These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern the British Marine Member Reward Scheme (the "Scheme") which is applicable to members of British Marine who introduce non-members to the organisation. By participating in the Scheme, Members and New Members (as defined below) agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Interpretation:
1.1. The following definitions and rules of interpretation apply to these Terms.
“Application Form” the online application form used by Prospective Members to apply to become a Member.
“BM Credits” the British Marine credits which can be credited to a Member’s British Marine account and redeemed against future purchases from British Marine.
“Member” a member of British Marine Federation holding a current valid membership.
“New Member” a Prospective Member who becomes a Member.
“Nomination” the listing of a Member by a Prospective Member under the ‘referral’ field in the Application Form, and the terms “Nominate”, “Nominated” or “Nominates” shall be construed accordingly.
“Prospective Member” a legal person who is applying to become a Member.
2. Eligibility:

2.5. A Nomination shall only be valid if the Prospective Member has not previously been a Member at any time in the 3 years preceding the Nomination. Any nominations made by a Prospective Member who has previously been a Member in the preceding 3 years shall be ineligible under the Scheme.
2.6. If a Prospective Member becomes a New Member on or after 1 January of any year, the Member who has been Nominated must wait until the New Member renews their membership for the following full membership year (from 1 July) before being able to claim their BM Credits. The amount of BM Credits that the Nominated Member receives will be based on which New Member Package the New Member subscribes to (as set out in the table below) for the first year of the New Member’s membership period.
2.7. For the avoidance of doubt, Nominated Members shall receive no BM Credits where the New Member’s membership package is the ‘Access’ New Member Package.
3. Rewards:
3.1. The value of the BM Credits which the Nominated Member is eligible to receive is based on the membership package which the New Member subscribes to:
