BMET Electrical

The Marine Electronics Installer Program (MEI), established in 2004, is to encourage a high level of professional expertise in entry-level and mid-level technicians and to lead them to further develop their skills.

BMET Electrical

A Marine Electrical industry recognised qualification, which takes place during the BMET Electrical course, aimed at people with at least one year's experience in marine electrics, or equivalent. Syllabus is based around the BMEEA Code of Practice.

Boat Safety Scheme

The Boat Safety Scheme, or BSS, is a public safety initiative owned by the Canal & River Trust and the Environment Agency. Its purpose is to help minimise the risk of boat fires, explosions, or pollution harming visitors to the inland waterways, the waterways' workforce and any other users.

British Marine mediation scheme for members

This annual report commissioned by British Marine, Royal Yachting Association (RYA), Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA), Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), British Canoeing (BC) and the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) details participation and ownership for 12 boating activities in 2016 and reports trends over fourteen years.
