Cox Powertrain launches major recruitment drive with open day at Brighton City Airport headquarters

British Marine member, Cox Powertrain, is holding a career open day on Saturday 7 September 2019 as it seeks to recruit around 25 new employees. Over the last decade, Cox Powertrain has invested over £80m in developing a marine diesel outboard engine, the CXO300, which has been met with anticipation by the global maritime market, due to the safety benefits and cost savings it provides.

Latest industry trends survey findings

New sentiment figures out today from British Marine, the trade association for the UK leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry, highlight the number of British marine businesses reporting an increase in revenue sinking to 22%, 10% less than November 2018. The new figures also show static profit margins for marine businesses, with just 6% of companies enjoying an increase in profits, 6% less than November 2018. Unsurprisingly business confidence within the sector is at its lowest level since autumn 2016.
