The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) has included the boatbuilding apprenticeship standard in the engineering and manufacturing route review, the largest review to date with 59 apprenticeships standards being looked at.

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) has organised consultation events in December to enable employers to review and comment on the outline content for the Maintenance, Installation and Repair (MIR) T Level Pathway and also for the Manufacturing, Processing and Control (MPC) Pathway, which together with the Design and Development Pathway will form the structure and content of the proposed Engineering and Manufacturing T level which is planned to be available from 2022.
