Northern Ireland
The Northern Ireland Executive has published a helpful guide setting out what you can and cannot do.
The strategy ‘Moving forward: The Executive’s pathway out of restrictions' sets out a step-by-step approach which includes the expansion of the test, track and protect systems to target localised outbreaks and identify and respond to new variants of the virus.
The flexible framework outlines nine pathways each of which has five phases detailing the level of restrictions required during this period. This means that Northern Ireland may be in different phases across the nine pathways at any given time.
As a result of updates made by the Executive, 15 people from three households are permitted to meet in domestic outdoor settings; 500 can attend outdoor gatherings which are not in domestic settings. Up to six people from two households can meet in a private home, wedding receptions are also permitted – subject to tables being restricted to a maximum of ten people.
All shops are allowed to resume trading and cafes and restaurants are similarly permitted to reopen – providing tables are limited to six people from unlimited households or 10 people from one household.
British Marine members in Northern Ireland should read the strategy to help them understand and prepare for the various stages.
