This year’s Southampton International Boat Show includes a high-quality food and drink festival within the boat show, using locally based Lymington companies Onyx Events and Onyx Bars, co-owners of the Christchurch Food Festival, and suppliers at Boardmasters and Pub in the Park.

“From locally sourced beef from the New Forest, to freshly caught British seafood and oysters, enticing and spicy Asian street food, and other favourites from countries all around the world, all tastes, requirements and budgets are catered for at this year’s show,” says Lesley Robinson, CEO of British Marine.

Delicious restaurant-quality Indian food is available with all-day walk-in table service at Kutis - the Tiffin Cup 2019 award-winning brasserie and voted best Indian restaurant in the UK.

Gauchos, renowned for the finest Argentinian steak, and Terroir’s sustainably sourced tapas, will also present their restaurant-inspired offering at the show.

SO41 offers extensive locally sourced and sustainable ingredients with vegan and vegetarian choices alongside Yum Street, with its Kwackers duck burgers, traditional meat-filled Cornish pasties and high-quality ground beef burgers, or you can enjoy The Giggly Pig hog roast, and savour traditional German Bratwurst sausages.

“We’ve created a huge range of food offerings each with its own character, provenance and story,” says Bligh Julius, Managing Director of Onyx Bars and Onyx Events.

Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer with its heritage firmly embedded in the iconic hop gardens of Kent, will be offering a diverse selection of award-winning beers including Spitfire Lager and the contemporary Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale, and its eye-catching Whitstable Bay Beach Hut bar, where guests can relax while enjoying beers from the popular Whitstable Bay collection, including Blonde Lager and Pale Ale. Or you might select one of the delicious fruit flavours of Truly Hard Seltzer, an alcoholic sparkling water just launched in the UK or try the premium Thai lager Singha. And of course, no boat show is complete without the traditional pint of Guinness, served at bars throughout the show including from the famous Guinness bar itself. Locally sourced and blended artisan coffees and teas, milkshakes and soft drinks are also available.

For those with a sweet tooth, Los Churros Amigos has traditional Spanish desserts, or choose Salcombe Dairy ice-cream or Chipperfield’s CC ice with its array of flavours and toppings. There are stalls selling Belgium waffles, crepes, warm cookie dough and chunky cookies also to be found around the show.

Running over 10 days, advance tickets for the event can now be purchased online via the Southampton Boat Show ticket page. The show is open from 9.30am to 6.30pm, with the Festival Green area remaining open to enjoy outdoor refreshments, food and entertainment until 9.30pm each evening.
