Join The Green Blue on the 24 September for the online launch of its UK Marine Environmental Facilities Directory.
The webinar will introduce the environmental programme’s first Facilities Directory, a new interactive online map that displays the environmental facilities available at marinas, boatyards and harbours across the UK. The Green Blue is the joint environmental programme between British Marine and the Royal Yachting Association.
The online facilities map will provide a resource for recreational boaters looking for their nearest environmental facilities on both inland and coastal waters throughout the UK. Facilities include recycling; hazardous waste disposal; pump out stations; black water/Elsan disposal; water refill points and filtered/bunded boat wash-downs.
To celebrate the launch, The Green Blue’s Campaign Manager, Kate Fortnam, will be joined on the webinar by guest speakers, including:
- Mike Golding OBE - Round the world sailor, Chairman of World Sailing Sustainability Committee & Ambassador for The Green Blue
- James Scott-Anderson - Environment, Health & Safety Executive at British Marine
- Carolyn Elder - Manager at Largs Yacht Haven, Scotland
The online event will be covering how to access and use the Directory, the importance of environmental facilities to the future of sustainable boating and the benefits of the new Directory from the perspective of a marina.
You can register in advance for the webinar here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event. The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions at the end.
