HSE issues update regarding facilities for delivery freight transport drivers during the COVID-19 outbreak

HSE issues update

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has received reports that access to welfare and restroom facilities have been withdrawn by some companies for external delivery drivers. This is not sensible given the current COVID-19 outbreak and is also against the law.

Any premises which have the provision of restroom facilities should continue to make them available. It is essential that deliveries for the marine industry continue operating as normally as possible – and driver welfare is a key part of this.
