Over the past week, Lesley Robinson, CEO at British Marine, has attended a number of events on behalf of the marine industry, including the Maritime UK National Council, the RYA annual lunch and the Royal National Coastwatch Reception.
Maintaining strong relationships with our external partners across the wider marine and maritime sector and recognising the important work that bodies, like the National Coastwatch Institution do, is core to our activity as a representative body.
During the events, Lesley met HRH The Princess Royal, who is Patron of Maritime UK, the National Coastwatch Institution and President of the RYA.
Commenting on the events, Lesley Robinson said “It was a privilege to represent British Marine and our members at these events and to update Her Royal Highness on the leisure marine industry. By working collaboratively with partners like the RYA and Maritime UK, it provides British Marine with the opportunity to have our voice heard louder, ensuring that our collective interest on the Environment, People and Participation are supported at the highest level. It was particularly gratifying to hearing HRH during her National Coastwatch Institution speaking about the importance of getting more people into boating.”
