Published on: 30 January 2020The Industry Specialist Consulting group (ISCG) recently created and published the Industry Best Practise (IBP) guidance, the IBP has been created in collaboration with seven UK water undertakers, along with other stakeholders, to provide guidance to marine water users who operate in regions covered by the water undertakers listed in the IBP guidance. The guidance will assist water users in the water undertaker’s areas of operation comply with The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
The guidance sets good operational standards for across the UK and will allow safe practical routines for both customers, berth holders and operators and allows for day-to-day operations to be undertaken without having to use costly new installations, such as air brake tanks for backflow protection.
The guidance will also cover the on-site inspections to ensure compliance with the Water Regs which a number of water undertakers will be carrying out in February and March of this year.
The IBP Expo session will go into the details of guidance, covering who and where the guidance is applicable and the procedures to follow if your business is in an area that does not fall under the IBP and its stakeholders.
The IBP Code for Water Supply in Marinas and Boatyards talk will take place on Tuesday 4 February at British Marine Spring Expo which will take place at Hilton at The Ageas Bowl. Register your FREE place click here.
