The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education have included the boatbuilding apprenticeship standard in the engineering and manufacturing route review – the largest review to date with 59 apprenticeships standards being looked at.
The review is being conducted to ensure that apprenticeships remain robust and up to date, with some of the main aims of the Institute being: an employer led and consultative approach, transparency and a sensible pace of change.
The consultation is open until February 16 and is open to employers, apprentices, professional bodies and trade/membership organisations. To take part in the consultation, click here.
