Take part: Naval Architect Apprenticeship Standard consultation

Published on: 14 November 2019

A Naval Architect Apprenticeship Standard has been proposed for development and volunteers from the marine sector are invited to be part of the Trailblazer Group.

A Trailblazer Group of employers, including BAE Systems, Babcock and Cammell Laird are currently exploring the development of a degree apprenticeship for Naval Architect and would like to hear from other interested employers. An expression of interest has been drafted for submission to The Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education (IFA&TE). Please contact the group via the Maritime Superskills Project Manager, Di Fitch, on if you would like to be part of this consultation.

Blue Davies, Head of Training at British Marine commented: “This provides further opportunities for the marine sector to gain the skills and recognition in specialised areas and to enable a further variety of career progression.”
