The Superyacht UK Technical Seminar takes place annually at the London Boat Show and will be held again on 12 January 2017. This successful event will cover the most important and current technical issues facing the superyacht sector.

12:00 – Design Trends – Av and Cyber Security, from Tania Berry, Senior Electrotechnical Specialist at Lloyd's Register
12:30 – Training and Qualifications - STCW changes and new engineering pathways, presented by Alan Cartwright and Lars Lippuner, of Warsash Superyacht Academy

14:00 – Concept-to-completion, how to make today's Superyacht Concepts a reality – An interactive panel discussion looking at a current SY concept and how it can meet the current legislation and engineering challenges. It will include representatives from BMT Nigel Gee, Lloyd’s Register, The Royal Institution of Naval Architects and Cayman Islands Shipping Registry and Richie Blake as panel mediator
15:00 - Break
15:30 – Brexit talk – Discussion on how will Brexit affect brokers, Class/regulations and the Law. It will feature representatives from Lloyd’s Register, Hill Dickenson and Cayman Islands Shipping Registry.
16:00 – Key Note Speaker - Kate Ware, Director of Maritime Safety and Standards at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and the Permanent Representative of the UK at the International Maritime Organisation.
