UK announces end to additional tariffs imposed on imports of US goods and vessels

The announcement follows extensive engagement between British Marine and the Department for International Trade on the additional tariffs for US vessels.


The MCA has released amended guidance on the sea areas associated with the Merchant Shipping (Passenger Ships on Domestic Voyages) Regulations 2000.

Although the UK has now left the EU, the sea areas designated are still required, to enable the continued functioning of UK maritime law which references them.


The MCA has released amended guidance for designers and operators of small passenger ships to take into account passengers with disabilities, and mobility issues.

The EU updates the list of harmonised standards to the RCD with ISO 8847:2021
